• Former Associate Professor of Industrial Design (MCAD) and Adjunct Professor (U of MN).

• Manager for Dr. Michael Allen, who founded Authorware software and co-founded Macromedia.

• Designer of the "Locus of Design"​ app on iTunes and GooglePlay, an interactive framework describing the intersections of Social, Functional and Experiential domains for product design. 

• Principal Investigator for "Mounds Matter", a sub-grant funded by the MacArthur, Mozilla, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundations to develop a prototype for interactive digital badges engaging young learners to explore the Native American Earthworks of North America.

• Co-founder and CTO for ICONOS inc.  Led programming team for "What's the Secret?"​, a CD-ROM STEM science series for 3M and PBS 1994-96, garnering 30+ national and international awards.

• Co-chaired the first conferences (2005, 2007) on Wireless Cities for the U of MN, exploring how municipal wireless can foster industry and connectivity through a "digital watershed".​

• Led industrial design of the first commercial Fused Deposition Modeler, aka 3D printing.

• Senior Designer, Research Manger for Wm Stumpf, designer of Aeron, Ergon chairs.  Developed systems design logic of Ethospace furniture system for Herman Miller inc.

• Team member of the first interactive digital magazine, created for Mac World Magazine.

• Editor of a series of published papers by W. Dröscher and Prof. J. Hauser on a new physics framework.
